My Son Before and After Surgery!

Hey Everyone!

Just to keep you updated on my son Aaron! My Son has been toe walking for 6years and it was time for him to get surgery, because it was getting to the point where it was hurting his back. We tried the ankle brace, and therapy, but that didn't work. So he had to get surgery to fix his toe walking since he started walking!

I was taking pictures because my husband was away on a deployment (That's military life for you!) My husband wanted to be there and KNOW his every move of Aaron's progress!

Here is a Picture of him before and after the surgery!

Here is Aaron at the hospital BEFORE the surgery!

Here is Aaron again prepared before the actual surgery, they wanted him relaxed so they gave him a DS to play with, (Cool right?!) They also gave him some relaxing medicine for him to take minutes before the surgery.

Here is Aaron AFTER surgery, knocked out!!!

8 hours of sleeping and this is what he wanted to do when he woke up! Really?!

So, after spending the night, Early in the morning he had physical therapy to learn how to walk on his cast!!

Here is aaron again on the walker, the physical therapist teaching him to walk with the walker. I wanted to take a picture of her teaching him to move around in his wheel chair but my phone died.

This is Aaron the same day of the physical therapy session, ready to leave and go home! He smiling soo hard!!

This picture was taken ONE WEEK after the surgery and he is walking flat footed! God healed him! He told me HE was and look at his promise!!

God is sooooo Good to me!!!!

I get choked up every time I look at my son. He is NOW running in his cast! He is schedule for a follow up appointment with his doctor January 5th and I will give an update and pictures of his ankles, walking flat footed!!

To God be the Glory!!

Getting ready to pack for the move!

Good Morning Guys!

So My husband and I have been getting boxes to start this move to Cali. Below I recorded a video of my husband and my son packing books for the Cali move.

The story behind it: My son LOVES my husband what ever he says goes, whenever he is here, I'm basically chopped liver! My son in the video was helping his father pack books my husband told him to ONLY pack the hard cover books, so my husband also told him that to see the ones that are hard he was to tap it. So in the video you see him tapping the books to see the ones that are hard!

I LOVE that my husband is here and not on deployments its nice to FINALLY have him here and not going anywhere...This will be new for us, because he will be here and then leave and most of the time would be just me and the kids! That's the life of a Marine Wife right?!

That's why we decided on doing a family road trip from South Carolina to California, to get bonding time that we so much needed.

Anyway enjoy the video is funny to me and comment below letting me know what you think.

Having an Open Mind...

Being open minded to criticism:

Proverbs 13:1-
"A wise son hears his father's instruction, but a scoffer does not listen to rebuke."

**Note
Scoffer: Imply behaving with scornful disapproval toward someone or about something. To scoff  is to express insolent doubt or derision, openly.

Being Open minded to rebuke and listening to instructions is something I know I have to work on. I sometimes want to do my own thing and it ALWAYS back fire, so why do I do it?

When rebuke is done in love (and you will know it) I know I have to check myself and get it together. Its hard but I know its for a purpose in getting to where God is trying to take me, but (like I said earlier) I like to do things myself and hurt myself in the long run.

So How do I stop? I continue to read God's word and when I come to instruction...DO IT! and not argue or make excuses, because its God that knows and has a better plan for my life then I do!

Jeremiah 29:11(amp)-
"For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome."

ENCOURAGING POEM called: "Kept!"

Hey Guys! Im back again! So I thought this was just a REALLY ENCOURAGING POEM! I found on face book and thought it would help those needing encouragement!

I read this and thought, this would really help me as someone going through deployment and you can also add more to it, I know I definitely will!

God has really helped me in so many areas in my life! Even when I became a mom for the first time. With twins, being a first time mom, was TOUGH! I COULD NOT do this on my own, I needed God to direct me and guide me through the journey.

Also My mom has really helped me to be strong, she modeled it and I was able to see how to be strong in difficult situations.  Becoming a wife to a Marine had its tough obstacles as well, but when you have God on your side, You can do anything through Him! If God be for you, who can be against you!

If this helped you or you enjoyed it, comment below!

Were Moving....

YESSSSSSS! We are Moving!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys! So my husband tells me that He got orders!!! Some of you guys may know that my hubby is in the Marine Corps and When he told me, We were going to CA, I wanted to do back flips!! If I could I would! I've been in Beaufort, SC for 6yrs and my husband for 10yrs and it has been LONG OVER DUE for us to move and explore the world!

We have made the decision to do a DITY move. (DITY move explained) If the member does not wish to use a military contractor to move their personal property, there is an alternative. The Personally Procured Move Program (formerly Do-it-Yourself [DITY] Move) is designed to provide the military member an alternative to move their household goods on their own. Members may move their personal property themselves, using rental equipment, their own vehicle, or by hiring their own commercial carrier.

The map above is the states we plan to visit! If you have any stops you suggest please comment below.

Im excited because I look forward to meeting new people, exploring new places, getting into new things...Its out of my comfort zone but Im excited about what God will be doing in myself, my husband and children.

If you guys have any traveling stories, or you are PCSing as well, comment below, I would LOVE to hear from you guys!

Stay tuned for more PCS stories!!

Herbal Tea...

I LOVE Rise and Shine Tea! I started drinking tea when I got invited to go on a regular bases to a group called: Tea with God! and ever since then Ive been drinking tea! Now, that I'm mindful of what I eat and how much I eat, I ran across Bulk Herb Store. She has tons of videos about her products, how to's and so much more and I LOVED this herbal store!

The Rise and Shine tea Contains: Bilberry leaf, ginkgo leaf, green tea, peppermint leaf, cloves, ginger root. This Tea is a bright way to get your day started. This mix includes many herbs that promote mental alertness and energy.

I LOVE to drink during the morning time because it helps me to stay alert.  Now that Ive been working out and drinking this tea has really helped me. Each of the herbs in this mix has awesome properties that are benefiting  for the body and I am all about benefiting my body!

Herbs:

Bilberry: Anti-aging properties, prevents free-radical damage, increases blood circulation, and more.

Ginkgo: has demonstrated remarkable ability to improve peripheral circulation. All the anti-aging effects of better circulation go along with this ability: increased energy, antioxidant effects, decreased blood clotting, better concentration, improved hearing and others.

Green Tea: Rich in fluoride, Green Tea can reduce the risk of tooth decay. The tea has been shown to combat stomach and skin cancers, and to boost the immune system.

Peppermint Leaf: One of the oldest and most popular remedies for simple colic and minor bloat in children and adults. Dieters, it contains no calories.

Cloves: Clove is a perfect breath freshener because it kills the bacteria that causes odor and leaves the mouth clean tasting and smelling. Clove has been used to treat toothaches, earaches, colds, flu, backaches, bronchitis, dysentery, muscle aches, nausea and vomiting. Apply directly to a toothache or cold sore.

Ginger root: proved to be an effective motion sickness antidote for travel by car, boat, train or plane. Ginger also treat indigestion, stomach ache, nausea, whooping cough, malaria and fever.

Here is a little bit more about
Rise and Shine tea!

Did you get your gifts?

Lavender Bubble Bath Salts Recipe

This recipe would be a GREAT! holiday gift for your friends, family, loved ones, to give at a Christmas party!

Have Fun and Enjoy!!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Dead Sea Salt (do NOT use Epsom salt - it cakes up)
  • 1/4 cup liquid Castile Soap
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable Glycerin
  • 1 teaspoon white Sugar
  • 12 drops Lavender essential oil
  • 2 drops Rose Geranium essential oil
  • 1 drop Clary Sage essential oil
  • 1 drop Chamomile essential oil
  • Optional: 10 drops blue, 2 drops red food coloring

Directions

  1. Measure the salt into a large ceramic, glass or metal bowl (not plastic - it will absorb the essential oils and be ruined.)
  2. In a separate bowl, stir together the remaining ingredients until thoroughly mixed. I recommend using a metal spoon - a wooden or plastic spoon also absorbs essential oils.
  3. Pour the soap mixture into the salt and stir until the salt is evenly coated.
  4. Spoon the lavender bubble bath salts into a dark glass or PET plastic jar and let cure for 24 hours before using.
  5. Use about one cup of salts per bath. This bath salt recipe makes enough for three baths.

Living Healthy

Hi guys! I hope everyone had a WONDERFUL holiday! I Know I did! Eating turkey and everything else that goes with it and guys...The Turkey was juicy and tasty I LOVED It!!!!!

So now what, you packed on pounds, so what happens next?!

Well for me, I've been getting back to changing my diet and eating healthy and being mindful of what I'm eating! (Even before the holidays).

The last bit of the year, I am looking to do better, First I am taking "Activated Charcoal"  <------- Click the link to find out more about this! (there's even a video involved!)

Guys.... I LOVE this powder!  First of, I found out about this product when a co-worker of mine was taking it, because she was having stomach problems and her pastor suggested she take Charcoal. Well I was like, great she finally found something that's helping her and I was happy for her....Well after the thanksgiving break she lost 10-15 pounds just taking the charcoal....NOW I'm not suggesting taking this just as a weight lost but if you are having stomach problems then charcoal is GREAT for that. In my opinion!

The description on the bottle states: "Each Particle contains many small chambers and cavities that "capture" or bind-up unwanted materials and gas, which are safely carried out of the digestive system." ( now who doesn't need that?!) (I LOVE that word..."bind-up" unwanted materials!")

Charcoal

You should ALWAYS do research before trying anything! The above link as TONS of information you can use and plus you can purchase this at a VERY affordable price!

And also click here-------------> More information! Let me know what you tried by commenting below and let me know what are you going to do to get back to eating healthy!

Also Guys I am looking to get into weight lifting....I never tried it but I thought it would be nice to get nice cut arms, legs, and body, so if you know of any information about first time weight lifting, foods, techniques I should try, articles I should read about it, and if you are weight lifting let me know what you did to get started!

Thank You!
