Hey Guys,
I came across this book: "Praying through your pregnancy" After hearing about it on a radio talk show, Focus on the family. I thought after hearing about it, It would be a real blessing to pray for my unborn baby, I didn't do that with my first pregnancy with my twins, but now that I am older and wiser I can do better and that's what I'm doing. I heard about the book about 2 years ago and decided to look it up and get some information, The website by the author, Jennifer Polimino has a link where she gives little prayers from her book of each week of your pregnancy into your inbox.
I thought this was very nice and I wanted to share it with you guys. Below is the example of my 5th week of pregnancy and the prayer that was sent to my email inbox, I went a little further with the prayer and added a little bit more but you can do the same thing as well and add whatever you want to it!
The bump.com talks about the growth of your baby and the baby's development. In my prayer I will incorporate that information for my unborn baby. Below is the actual prayer from the book "Praying through my pregnancy" that was sent to my inbox!
This has been a blessing for me to not only nourish my baby naturally but also spiritually nourishing my baby in prayer, Let me know if you begin to start praying for your baby as well!
Week 5:
The baby is the size of an apple seed! The embryo doesn't look like much more than a tadpole right now, but at five weeks, she's already starting to form major organs(heart, stomach, liver, kidney) and systems (digestive, circulatory, nervous).
Dear Father God,
Thank You for this wonderful miracle of life you have given me. May joy and gladness fill my heart and spill over to everyone who hears the good news of my pregnancy. A new baby is a blessing for the whole family, so I pray that our parents will be blessed by the news of having this grand baby.
I pray that the uncles and aunties will be blessed and filled with joy. And for all our friends and loved ones, let them share in our joy and gratitude. I pray that this time of rejoicing and gladness would also be a time of praising You for your blessing of the miracle of life. Your Word says that every good and perfect gift comes from above, so I give You my thanks for this wonderful gift.
I thank You for my baby's heartbeat, and even though I can't hear it yet, I know You can. Bless my baby's heart, stomach, liver, kidney) and systems (digestive, circulatory, nervous and cause it to grow strong, just as it should be. Protect my baby's heart and organs from any defects or problems. Allowing the organs to fuction as you have created them to work, all the days of her life. Your Word says that in the beginning, your creative powers were at work. I acknowledge Your power and ask You to extend it to my baby also. Create a healthy baby, week by week, as he (or she) grows.
And Lord, give my child a heart to love and serve You. Give my child a tender heart, open to hearing Your voice, kind and compassionate toward others. Please help me to be a good role model of these attitudes as well. Help me lead my child in prayer and in opening up our hearts to You to receive Your love.
In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
Here is where you can sign up and get prayers into your inbox!
ENJOY!
