What's in YOUR gym bag?

This is my gym bag! Now that I'm exercising and making an attempt to reach a goal of running 3 miles! I found that with my work schedule and everything else in my life, I NEED a gym bag.

Here are the contents, "What's in my gym tag":

  • Xtra work out clothes
  • deodorant
  • lotion
  • Church clothes
  • Xtra socks
  • Tons of under wear garments
  • Trail mix
That's it! I find that some of the contents are general but I have other stuff to assistant in my busy schedule, such as the Trail Mix, sometimes after a work out I have to also run errands or someone may call and ask me to do something for them, I may not have time to stop and get something, and I don't want to get side track and get stuff from McDonald's or Burger King, So to help stay on track I do what i have to do!

This is a tag blog of: What's in your Gym Bag? TAG YOUR IT!!!

My Goal....To run 3 miles in 18 minutes or less!

Hello Everyone,

I have decided to make a health goal for myself to RUN! YES...RUN! not only that but to run 3miles in less than 18minutes! That is a perfect score for a male in the United States Marine Corp! and I Trista Laborn intend to do that by the end of this year...2012!

I'm not sure how long this is going to take but that's why its a goal and I'm setting this for myself! Look at the response I got from face book when I posted my goal...

As you can see it was even longer than what is shown above. I LOVE to challenge myself and some comments that were shown on the page was positive and some were negative, but I'm not making this goal for them, but this is for me!

As proof of my running, I will be on the trend mil and at the end of my running time it has a work out summary at the end, I will take a picture and maybe some videos as proof of me running 3 miles and then run it on a track as well!

This is just one of the Many sayings my husband and I LIVE by: "Go Big or Go Home!!!"

So whats your goal? Share at the comment below! I Look forward to hearing from you!

Be Blessed!!!

Renew in 2012!

Hey Guys!

This word renew~ in greek means("Renovation" or "complete change for the better.") This word reminds me of a scripture:Romans 12:2(NIV)"Do Not Conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is, HIS good pleasing and prefect will."

Did you know you can use vinegar to renew a sour sponge?! Well you can and here's how...

Instructions:

  • Soak a well-worn, smelly sponge in a bowl or dish of vinegar for several hours (option of 1 or 2 hours). Rinse sponge well, then let dry.
  • In hot, humid weather, to keep it from souring, store it in a shallow dish.
You can also deorderized your home and keep it smelling fresh you can:
  • Pour vinegar in several bowls,
  • Set them in different areas of your home.(Where odors are a problem).
  • Make sure they are out of reach of small children and pets, so your not cleaning up a lot of mess or bringing anyone to the hospital!
I Hope these tips helped you! Please comment below if you have any other tips you would like to share!

Be Blessed!

Strength... Restored!!

This is just encouragement for those needing it!!!

Discipline in a Long-Distance Race

Hebrews 12:2-3 (MSG)

".....It means we'd better get on with it. Strip down, start running—and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we're in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now he's there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!"

James 1:2-4 (MSG)

"Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don't try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way."

My Kids!!

Here is the Christmas tree my babies helped decorate with their grandmother! They did such a great job I had to take a picture!!

During the Christmas break we went to my mother's house in Atlanta, GA and My youngest brother, Chris took this picture of my son, Aaron with his hat from the Hospital. Not sure why he LOVES this hat so much, I'm thinking because it was from the doctor and the nurses told him it was a doctors hat! He's been wearing it ever since!

My daughter Layla, she wanted to show off her new, pink glasses! She is soo cute!!!

And this is ME!!! Just chillin, relaxing!!!

Happy Holidays!!
