Praising God!

Praise God even when you don't feel like it!

You know how it’s hard to stay angry if you are purposely smiling. Or how it’s hard to stay in a negative funk, if you purposely look for the positive in all situations. Praise works the same way. It allows you to break through and rise above the situations, conflicts, stress, etc.

Psalm 9:1-2:(amp)

"I WILL praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will show forth (recount and tell aloud) all Your marvelous works and wonderful deeds!I will rejoice in You and be in high spirits; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High!"

Stop double dating God!!!

Double dating God?! I know you like... what is this she is talking about but read on....

This post was in my draft for months and its soo true! Currently I am pregnant so exercising hasn't been so frequent but the point is still there! ENJOY!

I read a devotional that said the same thing and I thought the same thing...How do you double date God, that's crazy but I know I do it, I can't speak on anyone but me. As I began to read on, it talked about how  you make time for God but you have so many things running through your mind, like check lists! I know I have them. Such as, After I spend time with God, I can put a load of laundry, do the dishes, put coffee on for my husband before he goes to work, take clothes out of the dryer for the kids, so they can go to school with nice fresh clothes, etc. I have a list now! Instead of our focus being on the one that has given us the ability to do the those things.

Right now in my season of life I have been exercising A LOT! I LOVE IT! I'm making a point to tone my body in areas I feel need to be toning and plus I want to make it a lifestyle, a routine in my life. I am mindful of the things I eat, I do research, I try different recipes, different exercises, etc. It really is a lifestyle that I am choosing to in cooperate in my life. Now that is all I think about, what foods to fix, so I won't get off track, how to fix it, what I need and it really takes a tool on you after a while, when that is all you think about.

When I spend time with the lord, its like exercising, the more I do it the better I feel, the more times I get up and spend time with God, I have less attitudes, less unnecessary arguments with my husband, less irritated with my kids, I'm just being honest with myself and with you guys, I'm trying to better myself and being honest is the first step to deliverance.

I know during this time I have walked with Jesus I have realized that spending time with God or making that sacrifice is hard at times, because it goes against the norm of what this day and age tell you. It has been my experience that waking up to go exercise was more easier then spending time with God, I would have my time with the lord but rush and then go work out for a little over an hour and God had to let me know what is more important ME or exercising? That was a no brainer because I felt like I was getting everything done, Spiritually and health wise, but where was my priorities? Where was my focus?

When I make that time with God it needs to be only with HIM, How good HE has been to me, How HE has blessed me when I didn't deserved it, when HE has given me grace and mercy on my life when I didn't deserve it. Why is my lists, exercising, etc. interrupting my time with HIM, I should be taking this time to THANK HIM for giving me strength to do those things, given me strength in my body to even exercise.

Like exercising, it takes practice to focus on God because we or I am human, we make mistakes, but to see results, we have to practice!

Military Family Retreats/Camps!!!! FREE!!!!

I came across this information looking for some camps, activities for my children to get into, I wanted to pass it on to my military families!

I like the idea of camps because it brings family closer, you can relax, have devotional time, surrounded by nature!

Sounds good?! Here is some information you can use in your area... ENJOY!

Operation Purple camps offer a free week of summer fun for military kids with parents who have been, are currently, or will be deployed. The goal of the Operation Purple camp program is to give military children tools to help deal with the stresses that result from a parent’s deployment, through a memorable camp experience in a “purple” environment. Operation Purple camps are open to military children of all ranks and Services: active and reserve components—and give priority to children whose parents are in a deployment phase between September 2011 and December 2012.

Due to budget constraints, the National Military Family Association was forced to reduce the number of camp locations for the 2012 season. Because of the extremely limited number of spots for the 2012 camp season, we highly encourage families with children who have never attended Operation Purple camp to apply. If you know a family with children who have never attended Operation Purple camp, encourage them to apply so as many deserving military children as possible can experience Operation Purple camp.

Camps will be held in Alaska, California, Connecticut, Florida, Hawaii, Indiana, North Carolina, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, and West Virginia.

Here is the link, ENJOY! Operation Purple Camps

God's Grace!

Good Morning,

Im just wiping out these blog posts mainly because I have a lot of draft post and I want to clear it out to add more, (I know...) but here is a devotional I get in my email everyday and this is kinda old but it speaks to me even now! On the bottom of this page is the link to the devotional and here is just, my notes on what God is speaking to me!

ENJOY!

2 Corinthians 12:9-10:(amp)

"But He said to me, My grace (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy) is enough for you [sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully]; for My strength and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed) and show themselves most effective in [your] weakness. Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities, that the strength and power of Christ (the Messiah) may rest (yes, may pitch a tent over and dwell) upon me!
So for the sake of Christ, I am well pleased and take pleasure in infirmities, insults, hardships, persecutions, perplexities and distresses; for when I am weak in human strength, then am I [truly] strong (able, powerful in divine strength)."

Note:
God is not going to allow those weak areas of my life to utterly rob me of my right standing with Him, but He does require that I persevere.  He says to me, “You can trust me not to let you go under.  I will never let go of you, Daughter.”  It inspires me to keep moving forward without quitting, because in the end it works out for my good.(Romans 8:28(AMP):
"We are assured and know that God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose."

God wants to bless me and build me up in character, even though it's not how I would do it but God knows me and His ways are not my ways. I trust God with all my heart! (Isaiah 55:8-9(AMP): "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.)"

Daily Devotion for Spirtual Warfare

My husband is reading a devotional book called: Spiritual Warfare devotional and I read some of it and It's a powerful book..... After reading the book, my husband likes to write what is on his mind on facebook, Here is a little of what my husband wrote on his status:

~"My child you can always count on My unfailing love for you. I have filled the whole earth with My unfailing love. I will be a refuge for you, a strong tower against your foes. My endless supply of glorious riches will strengthen you with power through My Spirit in your inner being.

Through your faith, My Son will dwell in your heart. I have established you in love. Grasp hold of My love, for it surpasses all knowledge and will fill you full of My presence. If you will trust in Me. I will fill you with joy and peace and your life will overflow with hope by the power of My Holy Spirit.

Faith will permeate in you and My gifts of healing, miraculous powers, prophecy, discernment, and tongues and interpretation are yours for the taking. "

"I am redeemed from the curse of the law. I am redeemed from poverty. I am redeemed for sickness. I am redeemed from spiritual death. I overcome all because greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. Amen"

I thought WOW! So much runs through this man's mind, but I praise God for sending him in my life! Thank You Jesus!

Focal Point!

You know just like a ballet dancer, when she spins, there has to be a focal point in order for her to stay focused and not get dizzy. Focal Point means- The central or principal point of focus. When you lose your focal point, you become dizzy and lose balance, sometimes you may even fall.

Just like in different circumstances you can lose your balance but when you keep your eyes on Jesus, everything just don't seem so hard or look difficult, it seems everything falls into place, but when you dont have a focal point, you can get side tracked and become dizzy when situations come at you.

We have a savior that is merciful and grant us grace, the scriptures says:

Psalm 46:1 (amp)-
"GOD IS our Refuge and Strength [mighty and impenetrable to temptation], a very present and well-proved help in trouble."

God is ALWAYS going to be there whenever and wherever we may be. Let our focus be on God so when life issues come at you all at once, We have that balance to dance through life issues without falling but landing gracefully!

PCS Moves and More!

SO....When my husband FINALLY got orders on PCSing to Cali, we knew that we were going to do a DITY move also known as: Personally Procured Move Program. Here is a post I wrote when we got the word on orders to Cali.

Everyone we talked about doing a DITY move to, felt sorry for us because doing a DITY move is A LOT of work. We thought well, they just being lazy, and for us, this was our first move as a family, we were going to make the most of it and see how it goes. Before I go into detail about my DITY move experience, let me explain what a DITY move is....

Like I said earlier a DITY move also know as Personally Procured Move Program is designed to provide the military member an alternative to move their household goods on their own. Members may move their personal property themselves, using rental equipment, their own vehicle, or by hiring their own commercial carrier.

This program allows you to be reimbursed by the government for moving your belongings yourself, It  is also voluntary and you may use your own vehicle, a rental, or a borrowed vehicle. You’re entitled to travel allowances, per Diem and mileage through the government.

Using this Program has helped us to become closer as a family, we decided to drive across country from SC to Cali and thought it would be fun to take pictures as a family of EVERY State we passed, Here is a video on our move, ENJOY!

We got half of the travel money from the government and the rest we get after we arrived in CALI. We rented a penske truck we felt it was cheaper than an u haul. My husband drove the penske truck and pulled my car and I drove my husbands car because his car has the DVD player.

It was tough, but fun at the same time driving for about 10 hrs everyday and we stopped at about 3 hotels including when we arrived in CALI, looking for an apartment to live in.

We had movies for the kids during the drive and their toys, coloring books, etc, to keep them entertained, It wasn't bad at all.

When we FINALLY got settled into our apartment, got the kids in school, my husband checked in and filed his travel claims for the trip we all took across country. They will reimbursed for gas and mileage, we got paid for travel and lodging in the beginning of the trip, which helped A LOT!

Below are resources for your PCS move and I hope this work for you as it did for me. Below as well is a check list that has also helped me get EVERYTHING together.
